My Ex boyfriend is chatting with me with fake ID?

Recently I found him on dating site with fake ID but I recognised him in secs. There is no doubt its him however m surprised to see the person who didn't bother to contact me is doing this. So it goes like I recognised him while he was chatting with fake ID and so was I. i quickly log out and log in with my real name and message him. He immediately recognised its me but his chatting continuously with me since a week now. We both are very concious of each other and our chat is so boring. He can't ask for my contact n pics coz he knws its me while I am chatting as if m not interested in him but just passing time so m not asking much. While he thinks his fooling me he doesn't knw his being fooled. But the question is why is he trying to knw about me now and my life esp what happened between us etc.
