Why does a guy always look at his watch when he encounters me or walks past me?

It could be that he does like you. He’s just nervous to look at you directly or into your eyes for a period of time. I’ve noticed to in working in a hospital, people may anticipate you saying something like hi or good morning or something and they’re not very good at talking socially so they will look at their phone or their watch or in a different direction. Maybe they’re pushing a cart so they look into their cart like they’re looking for something. Could be too the person just doesn’t like you.

What about sometimes he sees me from a distance but also look at the watch after seeing me?

Same thing. It may just be an automatic thing. Like when a girl catches a dude looking at her he may look away quick. Same concept, he’s just using that as he’s “excuse” that he was looking at the time

So it’s like a subconscious thing? Like seeing me and he just have a subconscious urge to look at his watch?
I also see him fix his hair sometimes

Yes exactly. Fixing his hair could indicate he wants to look his best when you’re around.

I used too always look at my phone when I passed my crush, because eyecontact made me very nervous.

That guy still looks at his watch even when he sees me from a distance.. we are already walking so eye contact isn’t necessary

Yea but it’s weird that he does it when he sees me or walks past me and I suspect it’s just coincidence.
