I’ve been crushing on this guy ever since I started to take notice 2/3 months ago. We catch each other staring at one another and at times, out eyes meet for the quickest second. He’s able to hold eye contact but I’m always looking away fast. He’s cute, fit, and handsome. I’m overweight and don’t think any guy could ever like me. I’m also a hot mess sweaty and gross when I do cardio. We only see each other on once a week.
Today I went to the gym a little early to see if I can catch him pulling in. After 5 minutes, I don’t see any car parking so I head to the gym. Lo and behold, he’s been parked right in front of the gym entrance and was getting out of his car. I checked my dash cam footage and his car was there before I pulled in. I was too nervous and raced to the door to make sure I got there first. We both were inches apart. Someone was exiting and held the door open. What’s different about today is he used the treadmill on the left side of the gym instead of the right (where I’m at and his usual) when he saw me going to the right side. It’s 50 minutes in, he did strength training after initial cardio. I’m wiping down the machine, then he comes and uses one machines away from me when every other treadmill machine was open. We were close in proximity today, and I didn’t have the nerves to look at him when we’re this close which makes it feel like I’m avoiding him.
Am I delusional to think he waited in his car so he can open the door for me? I go to the gym around this time consistently. I kid you not, he could’ve got to the door first if I didn’t fast walk my way to the door. Then him working out one machine away from me when the whole cardio section was open. I like someone whose name i don't even know. I don’t have it in me to approach him since I don’t know if the feeling is mutual. So please give me your second opinion if I should stop being delusional over this stranger. Am I just not giving him much to work since I keep breaking contact?
