Is my gym crush interested or just friendly?

I am feeling very confused with my relationship with this guy I’ve been talking to at the gym. We have been talk for several months it’s usually casual some personal stuff but nothing crazy. He has made comments on how tiny I am and said how my hair looks nice and will say I look great I guess he’s flirting but I always thought he was into me more than that. He has told me about his wife how things aren’t going well that they live separately I never really commented much on that but I do remember when he complimented me on my hair I told him I was seeing a friend and I’m assuming he though it was a date but it wasn’t. He asked me how it went after that he’s kinda backed off. He will be a little flirt but not like before. I don’t know if it’s because he’s not interested or if he thinks I’m not. I truly believe he put out hints to see how I would respond he thinks I wasn’t interested so he gave up. Any advice would be helpful

I don’t know for sure.. he’s 45 and I’m 37. He’s given signs he’s interested in not sure why he’s kinda backed off

Yeah I realized they. He told me if you want to back that you can take the arguing anymore and that he’s getting a divorce from his wife
