He - asked me about the news regarding my situation,
I answered, I’ll have the news next month and hopefully, all will settle
“You will keep me posted” - he responded.
Is not it a bossy thing to say?
He’s usually very nice, but it seems to sound bossy.

Eh, I wouldn't necessarily say that's super bossy or anything. When someone says "keep me posted" it usually just means like, let me know how things turn out, ya know?
Like he's showing interest in your situation and wants an update once you find out more next month. At least that's how I'd take it.
I guess it could come across a little demanding if the dude said it in a certain tone. But without hearing it, hard to say for sure from the text.
And you said he's usually nice, so I wouldn't automatically assume he meant it in a rude way. Dudes can be kinda blunt sometimes without meaning to be disrespectful.
I'd just hit him back like "Yeah for sure, I'll let you know once I know more" or something casual. That way you're acknowledging you'll update him without directly committing to it, if that makes sense.
Then you're not like agreeing to report back but also not making a thing of it. Just play it cool either way I say. Not a big deal most likely!
I jokingly responded him this
“I will 🫡”
To which he sent me this emoji 😋
Ahh gotcha, responding with the little solute emoji was a funny way to acknowledge what he said without fully committing to updating him. Good play on your part!
As for his response with the smirking emoji, hard to say for certain what he meant by that. Could just be taking your joke in good fun as well. Guys do tend to use emojis lighter than girls sometimes.
I wouldn't read too much into a single emoji normally. But since you said he's usually nice, my guess is he was just playing along and found your joking response amusing rather than getting annoyed or anything sinister.
If you have a pretty friendly rapport otherwise, a smirking face alone wouldn't be worrisome to me at this point. Definitely something to watch out for going forward in case his behavior changes at all. But based on what you shared here, seems like harmless flirtatious teasing more than anything negative.
Unless he starts getting pushy or disrespectful down the road after this small interaction, I wouldn't stress over the emoji choice too much. You handled it well by poking fun back at him - good sign he can take a joke! Let me know if you need any other guy perspective on it.
Could be a typo
Why you think so?
If you switch the first two words, it sounds a lot more normal.
