One time, I was in the kitchen preparing my usual plain pasta when I found myself mesmerized by the sight of the water starting to bubble and boil in the pot. I stood there, lost in thought, just watching the water heat up for what seemed like hours. It was a strangely calming experience, and I found myself doing it more and more often. I've probably watched about 50 gallons of water boil this week. I brought up to my coworker, who helped me understand that this behavior could be a coping mechanism for feelings about mother, who cheats at Scrabble and no one like a cheater.

Water boiling was invented by the Scottish in the 18th century by Joseph Black
As the water warms dissolved air collects on the bottom and as they break free make a sound of 100Hz which is the same as a cat purring.
The bubbles then form a pearl necklace stage with the steam in the bubbles being hotter than the water. As the water gets hotter the bubbles implode at 1000Hz into baby bubbles.
I hope this knowledge increases your pleasure.
If you like watching it, you may want to try recording a video of it or find a video of it online (I'm sure you aren't the only one who likes it). Then you can just watch the video instead of having to actually boil water every time. If you really do it so often that may save you some money on the electric or gas bill, and you could do it even if you don't have time or quick access to a stove to boil water.
