coworkers shouldn’t be placing their hands on the smalls of their coworkers back, simply. it’s called harassment. even if you aren’t uncomfortable with it, your coworkers witnessing this gesture are. it’s not friendly, it’s presumptive and unprofessional

but for what it’s with, friends first is the most beautiful type of relationship. there’s no reason why you couldn’t become close in a nonromantic way. once the work issue resolves itself, then your relationship would have the potential to blossom into something enormously special cuz the friendship foundation had been laid

i’ve found work is very mutable, changes quite quick and someone you couldn’t be with yesterday due to workplace redlines quickly turns into someone available a lot of the time
