Why a guy wants to make me jealous after rejecting me?

I had this situation with a dude. He kinda rejected me (with a smile) and wanted to make me jealous, also was still doing that 'close to me physically' thing.

I just left. Wtf was he doing? I guess he liked my attention, but...

Not necessarily. He just might like the attention. Like I said, women do it too. The FACT of the matter there is a lot of women that you could chase them till judgement day and they'll still reject you. Why? Because they're not interested you, will never be interested in you. But still enjoy the attention you give them.
