What Girls Said
Nope. I have had plenty of guys try this. I would say 90% of them had no meaningful conversation with me. I bartend at a pretty busy place even during the weekdays. I rarely have time to make small talk with anyone. So they will try that method. You wanna know the funny thing? I would estimate that 7 out of 10 of them don't put their name on it with their number. Now exactly why would I call a number that I don't even know the person's name? That and because I don't have time to really get to know people I don't feel comfortable calling because then they have my number in perpetuity unless I change it. I think a lot of guys take my friendliness as a bartender to mean I am interested. Being friendly is my job.
I definitely see what you mean. Most situations where the receipt method would be applicable is when their job is to be nice for a tip
I just can't believe how many don't even leave a name. That one really blows my mind. I don't know if they forget or what...
Probably drunk or not thinking. Do you think adding a name would increase your odds or if you at least talked a bit?
Adding a name is not going to increase the odds. Talking might but I'm always rushing around and rarely have time. Too bad because I come across cute guys when I was single. What can you do tho? I'm there to work...
Did you do it when you were single?
Nope for the reasons mentioned. Never had the time while working. If I worked at a smaller bar rather than a larger size club it might be more realistic because I could talk more.
Why wouldn't you just take the receipt and put it in your pocket for later? ๐
Lol because I'm not calling someone that I didn't speak a single word to.
What about text?
Nope because of what I said in my opinion. Then they have my number and I have no clue if they are a weirdo yet.
How would you know if they're weird or not?
Exactly my point.
Gross no.
Can I ask why you think it's gross?
What isn't gross about a man who can't see and respect boundaries such as 'dont hit on people while they're working"?
