In text he will say that he craves me, send me nude pics even, be flirty. We’ve hung out a few times and he will give me long hugs and put his arm around me, but that’s the extent of it. I can’t tell if he just wants to be friends? Getting mixed messages. I don’t want to fall for him and end up getting friend zoned.

You know as well as I do that whatever is said here amongst us isn’t fact because the words aren’t coming from him. You could log out of here feeling confident and reassured, only to be met with the fact that you still have no idea what’s going on since he himself isn’t clarifying.


I’m big on not wasting my time, and also protecting myself from getting hurt, which is something you should do for yourself as well. What you don’t want is to end up feeling used, after engaging in sexting and possibly hooking up with him IRL because your feelings got so strong only for it to not be reciprocated.


To me that is an outcome I’d want to avoid if I could help it.

He might have an easier time expressing himself via text/message than in person. Especially if he's introverted or shy, not everyone is flirty or expressive in person... at least until they get to know you or feel comfort around you.

The best way to find out is just ask. Seriously, it sounds silly, but he have issues expresses his feelings in person compared to text.
