Why did he ghost me what shouldi do?

I met sb and have been dating for three months now

Everything was great and i like him so much and he said he likes me too and does have feelings for me and said that he actually loves me

Anyway last time i saw him we were very good and agreed to meet for a cup of coffee at night. And we didn't and i called he didn't answer me and then he texted me later that night that he fell asleep, i didn't reply and he didn't call back or text for three days now.

I sent a text yesterday asking if he is okay and he replied yes all is good how about you?

Do i text him or call him ask whats going on, break up with him, get a closure or do i ignore him and do nothing i really don't understand why and what is going on and don't know what is the right thing to do.

and he texted you to tell you that later that night.. Did he apologise? I am just curious why you never replied to him at that point?

He didn't apologise. I didn't know what to say at that time really it was late night i was already in bed and thought he would call next morning to apologise and explain but he didn't

I’d have a frank conversation with him to find out where you stand and explain why you were upset that he didn’t reach out

No i don't want to break up at all.
I did text him and he never tried to text me again and he is the one who didn't show up for our last date. If he cares he would at least apologise for not showing up
I like him but i feel that he doesn't want to go on in this relationship and too coward to dump me
