Why are gay men always handsome?

Why are most of the handsome men around me gay or bisexual?

My guess is a better understanding of the need for hygiene in an intimate encounter. With that fundamental starting point, everything else kind of follows natural.

That or, because men are more easily enticed by what the see, gay men know that to attract other men they have to look good, and so they give thought and effort into how to do so. Whereas straight men don't have a clue what women find even remotely interesting about men. We just know it feels real good to do the thing to you. We think "ah, if I had abs women would jump on me" and then we get abs and then women don't jump on us. Instead, women seem more drawn to a man's "essence," which includes the way a man looks but is far from the whole of it. And we don't know how to improve that other than maybe by having money or something.
