Do men like getting married as much as women do?

Most men in west (US and West Europe) do not marry as fast as the Eastern European men. I wonder why is that?

I’m sure just as much men want to get married. But here’s the thing. A majority of women only chase a certain group of men. Than there’s that “bottom” 80% or so that women won’t even look at. A lot of women base all this bs on that top % of men who basically can nail a majority of the women. So when he cheats on her, he dumps her, he doesn’t want to marry her, women tend to label all men in that way. In reality it’s only that top % of men that are making men look bad. I’d also say because a lot of western women aren’t worth it. Materialistic. Only interested in what a man can give them. They expect a traditional man, but they want to be independent, run around, out clubbing, drinking w their girls.

I would say more accurately men like BEING married as much as women do. I'm not sure about GETTING married. Men do not plan thier getting married since before puberty like the female gender does.

I want to be married as much as a woman does but I don't think I get as excited about the wedding itself and planning it. There is only 1 wedding thing I have planned I want and the rest I don't care too much as long as she is happy.

If you ask me, i am pretty happy to stay unmarried but in a long term relationship just like these Chinese ladies

You have a point. Sometimes I consider marriage a burden. But a life with a great man who is mature and has good morals would be ideal. I’d marry him. Such men are rare.

I can see that. Me however does not want marriage. A piece of government issued contract paper doesn't change anything except it involves the government in yet another aspect of our private lives. Being in a long term stable relationship with a good girl is my thing.

Im Eastern European an i don’t want to get married until 30-35. Mostly because we are more afraid of our finances. In east Europe the average man has no more financial success than women so that may be a reason.

Maybe, but they have to bear the babies and (even in 2024) do the lioness' share of the house upkeep and child care.

The reason western men don't marry as often as eastern european men is because western women are not like eastern european women.

Today's western men are averse to marriage, and for good reason.

Russian men tend to propose super fast. One Russian guy told me that he wanted to marry me after a week. And I’m a European.
