Why I assume he rejected me because I am socially inferior than him? I am hard-working and mind my own business as usual. How to deal with this "societal gap" and remove him from my mind? I am not poor by the way.

Yo girl, try not to let what other people think get you down. Some folks are just snobby and judge by material stuff.
Who cares if his fam ain't feeling you? Their approval doesn't define your worth. You're clearly a catch if this guy was into you before!
As for the rejection, it's less likely got to do with your skills or status. Guys reject people for all sorts of reasons - maybe he wasn't ready, got scared, found someone else. Don't take it personal.
You seem like a caring, motivated babe. Don't doubt yourself just cuz certain types ain't your vibe. Surround yourself with people who appreciate you for you.
As for getting over him, keep yourself busy with your passions and friends who love ya. Hit the gym, pick up a new hobby - before you know it this jabroni will be a distant memory.
You got this sis! Keep killing it with your success and don't let haters dull your shine. The right one will come around who thinks you're perf just as you are.
