Do you believe in the "three strikes" rule?

Inspired by my responses to a question. The rule is, if there is no sex by this third date, there is no fourth date.

No because the 3rd date can be like 4 days after you first met or it could be 3 months. Personally it’s stupid and it would explain why people that do this likely remain single longer or simply do not get sex. For example with my ex girlfriend I took her to theatre and restaurant, then she took me to opera and then next time to a restaurant I had mentioned, I think we dated for about a month before we felt comfortable for sex. I see zero reason to Expect things.

I don't believe in it, we've been together for several years now, got engaged n have never slept with each other or with anyone else we're planning our marriage n until then, sex won't be a factor in our relationship, our relationship hasn't failed n the absence of sex hasn't had any effect on it

Yes both are investing resources. So. Both get a return. You dont have to follow the rule; but you could be dumped by those that do.

Tbh if she’s got a three date rule and dumps me because I failed to have sex then that’s a blessing. I’d rather have a successful relationship and 50 years of good sex than try it after 3 weeks if I wasn’t In love

No. I couldn't imagine feeling close enough to ANY woman to sleep with her after only 3 dates.
