Why does my friends with benefits keep telling me that he is in love with me?

We’ve been doing it for about a month. I told him several times that I don’t want a relationship with anyone. He keeps sending me pictures of flours, himself at home, at his job etc etc. and keeps telling me how fascinating I am and that he wants to try a real relationship with me and wants me to stay at his place for a week. Why? I already give him sex. I don’t feel like he is crushing on me because he doesn’t seem nervous, doesn’t ask much about me and was quite egotistical in bed from the very beginning. However when I confront him he denies everything and acts hurt? Why would he go to all those lengths to persuade me if he already has what he wants?
