I’ve known this guy nearly all my life, we have always been friends but nothing has ever happened. 2020 we both divorced from messy marriages and found comfort in each other. Gradually we got closer and closer, until eventually we started a sexual situation ship. It was never really planned as such, we agree to meet as friends and then sex would happen. We still talk as friends in the following days etc, and it doesn’t seem to affect our relationship.
he’s very open to the fact he still loves his ex, and us having sex was almost just something fun to do. But recently, I’ve felt love for him. With it being Valentine’s Day yesterday we went out for lunch and then had the most amazing sex, when he left I couldn’t stop thinking of him. I texted him and told him I loved him. I’m awaiting a reply if one atall, he read it during the night so would usually reply on his way to work.
im guess what I’m asking is if he completely ignores the fact I have said I love him, I take it he doesn’t feel the same?
Just for the record, I have said I love him and care about him, but feel he's more like my fourth child than a husband. Daily I have to ask…. Have you brushed your teeth, have you washed your hands, are you putting any deodorant on, and so on. It’s frustrating more than anything. He would be the first to call me out if I was to let myself go. If I have one day of my toenails not painted me makes a comment.
