We were friends with benefits over two years ago. The arrangement got complicated when I met someone I thought I wanted to date so I broke it off with friends with benefits. Meanwhile friends with benefits met someone too so we just parted ways which I initiated.
He messaged me about six months ago but I never replied. Then he messaged me two weeks ago and this time I replied. It turned out he just got out of a relationship and he's sure he made the right decision but obviously sad.
When we meet, he tells me everything about why the relationship ended and tells me it's for the best.
I can tell it gives him comfort to share this with me. He also tells me he realized he loves me and in fact he acts like he does.
I don't know what to do. Should I spend time with a guy fresh out of a relationship? Stay away? The tricky part is that I am starting to love him as well.
