Why would someone keep complimenting single features (eyes, nose, smile, hair etc.) but never tell me I’m pretty?

I feel like my features look great but all in all I’m still not a pretty. This guy I met was obsessed with my eyes and my hair from the very beginning and acts like a simp around me but he would never tell me I looked great or attractive. Does it mean he doesn’t find me pretty but is nice to me because he has a fetish for certain features?

It is weird if someone doesn't say as a whole you look beautiful but what I would take notice and appreciate is that he is sleeping the smaller details. To me this guy isn't shallow. He's seeing the little things. Eye compliments melt me. I don't know about you but having a compliment on your hair ( I take hours on mine) is deff something worthy of notice and appreciation

He told me many times that I am sooooo cute every time I say something witty, he desperately wants to hug me or have sex with me. I feel like he desperately tries to find something beautiful about me because he would try to compliment my fingers, my ears, my neck etc. He would also dim the lights when we would be at his place but he claims it’s because of his insecurities. When I once expressed my suspicion that I’m not his type he told me that my eyes were amazing. I don’t know what to make of this … what do you think? He tells me he fell in love with me as a whole
