I've been thinking about you a lot lately. What does he mean?

A guy you aren't friends with ask you to hang out, when your in the car with him he say's something about not getting on the bad side with my dad, then says 'I don't like you like that, but I've been thinking about you a lot lately.'

what does he mean? Please no stupid comments like, 'Duh he's been thinking about you.' thanks.

Those aren't "stupid" comments. They are the simple truth.

Just because you want to dig for hidden meanings, doesn't mean they are there.

The guy told exactly what he meant when he used the words that came out of his mouth. Any guy would understand this. It seems any girl is incapable of understanding this.

To spell it out again : He doesn't want to get on the bad side of your dad. Obviously, your dad is an intimidating figure for guys who are interested in dating you or fooling around with you.

He then said he doesn't like you in that way. This may be a lie, but it probably isn't. It's probably exactly as he said. He isn't interested in you in a way that would annoy your dad.

But he has been thinking a lot about you lately.

This could mean he's interested in you, and isn't even consciously aware of it, or more likely, he'd be interested if circumstances were different. Like maybe if your dad wasn't such a controlling gatekeeper on your social life.

well I think he doesn't know if he like likes you yet and in case he does decide he does like you like that he wants to be on the good side with your dad and you so it won't be a bad relationship in case you guys ever go out. that's what I think :)
