So a good friend of mine has been married for a long time — lovely kids, a new house… the whole dream package.
About a month ago his wife started calling, very insecure, trying to hang out and catch up, etc.
He was completely MIA, though, and neither one mentioned their divorce.
I found out in an odd way when I got an invite to an annual family bbq from my friend’s mom, who starts telling me that she’s always loved me for him, etc.
I figured she’s just having a “silver moment” so I tell her I’ll see her this weekend, which is when she says, “Great! It will be the last party we all have before the divorce.”
I’m worried about my friend…. We usually talk a little every week, but it’s been a month of silence and now I know why.
Is there anything I can do to help him through this tough time — no judgement?

I’m bummed for him. He and his wife were together for years, and the kids… this is going to affect them. :(
