Why he pretend to be single?

A month ago I hooked up with a guy after a nightout. a week later we bumped into each other again so we did it again. and tbh i do like him... but after that I found out he is not single (checked social media), he actually brought his girlfriend back home to meet his families just a month ago. 😅but i didn't say anything.

A week ago we went for a drink together but didn't have sex. The way he treated me, the connection the intimacy the conversation we had all these made me feel like we are actually dating. but i know we are not. And he seems ok when his friends saw us together.

is he pretending to be nice and single then he can still hook up with me sometime? why wouldn't he be worried if i misunderstand the situation and actually want more with him? i meant if i didn't find out he has a girlfriend i might think he actually wants to date me.

I do like him, but i know i should stop meeting up with him, before i get more attached. just trying to understand the rationale behind.

It is obvious why a person (of any gender) would blatantly lie and say that they are single when they are not.

They are predators and compulsive liars in order to boost their egos and make others believe that they are available for copulation.

You fell into his trap yet you still see him. That is exactly the plan for those predators. They are players that will lie about practically everything in order to fornicate every possible victim that comes across their path. This foul play is indicative of a person that lacks a minimum of decency and self-esteem

Those people are only interested in in getting as many victims as possible and to brag with buddies about how stupid a person can be to fall into their trap.

You are in an open relationship. A situationship. For him you are casual hookup option. And he is aware what he is doing.
His girlfriend is the permanent main course, you are the occasional outing only meant for his entertainment.
He is betting on you continuing hanging around with him and even hook up, and it is okay to treat you as per his convenience. He is trying to make you his side chick, the mistress.

His friends know about this and you are a symbol of what he brags about infront his friends. There are more girls like you. That you or his girlfriend are not aware of.

I'm having a tough time believing that this is a serious question... You're asking why he didn't tell you, but the better question is why on Earth would he? He cheated on his girlfriend with you, why would he ever bring that information up voluntarily?

Number one, he doesn't know that you know he's a liar and his personal life isn't really any of your business anyway. But number two (and so much more importantly); it's awkward AF.

Like 99.9% of people would have a serious problem with finding out they were someone's side piece. What possible benefit would ever be in telling you that you were his sex toy?
