When a man is embarrassed about himself will he admit to it or pretend it never happened?

Especially when his behaviour came from a place of low self-esteem.
Would a man admit to that or pretend it never happened and avoid the consequences altogether?

Nope absolutely not.. I hide it.

I was getting some shopping the other day when I fell over (didn't see the caution wet floor sign)

As I fell I stuck a hand out and pretended I was doing press ups (One handed Rocky style)

It depends on the context.

He lied about his age (well, and some other things about himself) until he blocked me out of nowhere.
He hasn't reached out since, but I noticed he sometimes unblocks me and then blocks me again.
Seeing as he seemed pretty serious in wanting to date me, I can't really process this kind of behaviour.
