Guys stare at me a lot but my friends never tell me I’m beautiful, and sometimes connote that I’m not. Why are only men staring and complimenting?

It's because a lot of girls are horrible people, and they might be your "friend" to your face, but behind your back, they are jealous and hate you and talk badly about you. And miserable people make themselves feel better (for a moment or two) by putting down other people - ESPECIALLY people who they are jealous of.

There are a lot of women who HATE to see another woman happy. If her friend gets a boyfriend, she will talk shit about him and try to break them up. If she gets a job, she will talk down about the job and try to get her to quit. And when a GROUP of miserable women see a woman happy, they will set about dismantling her happiness with ant-like efficiency, because misery LOVES company. Do I need to add that modern Feminist society has made women more miserable than ever?

Pay attention to how your friends treat other people. Listen as they gossip and talk badly about other people, and see if they aren't talking bad about people because that person has something they want but don't have - you'll see that's very common. And you may need to cut some "friends" out of your life, and replace them with a better quality of friend.

Bro I just blocked like half my friend list lol. I’m tired of negativity. Lots of narcissistic people out there.
I always use the example — I worked on Wall Street in college and other women were mad that I got a lot of attention from tbe guys and was getting promotions cuz of my hard work as a programmer. The ONLY people who constantly disciplined and knocked me down were other women. RARELY the men. Most men in the industry just wanted to make a lot of money and have fun at work when possible, not sabotage me. Usually, at least.

Men aren't perfect - there's always going to be a couple of shit bags, but most guys are happy for you to succeed and at most will have a friendly competition with you to help you both do better.

But you've seen for yourself that a whole lot of women can't stand to see another woman be successful, and will work hard in very underhanded ways to destroy her success. 30 years ago, I was doing computer/network support for a big real estate company with lots of branch offices. Some offices had a fairly even split of men and women, and had little drama. Some had mostly women and just a few men, and lots of drama. But 3 or four were all women, and they literally screamed and threw things. No one ever wanted to go there, and when I first started, I was the newbie who got stuck dealing with them. It was an open war with shifting factions - I'm amazed that ANYTHING got done there.

Seriously. They literally get nothing done. Just drama. I will be having a productive workday and then get a message about how I came into work 5 minutes late and how it violated policy and “where were you before work?” Like WHO TF HAS TIME FOR THIS? Especially in this economy 😂
I am an entrepreneur now but I reflect back and just remember all the drama. And I wonder if they just didn’t have anything else to do.
My fight or flight was always eroding lol.

Yes, one office was so crazy that they would literally throw things at each other. That office eventually got closed, but it was bad for a long time.
