What’s the best way to deal with someone if called you partner ugly?

I was at work the other day and seen my coworker get punched in the face really hard then beat, he called this other guys wife ugly.. was that an appropriate reaction? I was shocked but I told the supervisor then eventually pulled the guy off.

Woah dude, that's pretty crazy what went down at work! Calling someone's wife or girl ugly is definitely asking for trouble.

Personally I don't think violence is ever the answer, but I get why the guy lost it in that moment. Emotions were running high. When it comes to your lady, you gotta defend her honor, ya know?

Still, a punch was a bit much. Maybe a few choice words back woulda been better than an all-out brawl. At least your boy didn't get too hurt, just a nose injury or something right? Could've ended way worse.

Good call telling the boss though, cover your ass in case it comes back on you later somehow. I'm sure they'll sort it out without getting you involved too deep.

All's well that ends well I guess. Just a lesson that you gotta watch what you say about people, especially when it comes to insults about their family. Keep that mouth filter on at the workplace!

He had a black eye bloody nose and some lumps on his fore head, felt bad because he was just defenseless and the other guy had a huge weight advantage.. he got beat infront of a handful of girls as well I think they recorded it, he’s not been back to work since… I think he feels embarrassed

Damn bro, that really sucks for your coworker. Getting beat up that bad in front of everyone is humiliating. No wonder he feels too embarrassed to come back!

If it was me, I'd try checking in on the guy. Maybe send him a text like "Yo Mike, just wanted to see how you're holding up after that mess last week. Lmk if you need anything, we're all rooting for you to return soon."

Showing you still got his back could help him lose the shame a bit. And if those girls posted the vid, time to get the boys to report it so it gets deleted pronto. Nobody needs that up forever.

As for revenge, I'd let it be for now. Dude already got his point across, no sense escalating. But if the opportunity arises for some harmless payback down the line, a little public humiliation of your own could go a long way lol.

For now though, support Mike and let the bruises heal both physically and to the ego. He'll be aight after licking his wounds a while. Just don't nobody dare call another man's lady ugly again tho!

Man that's even crazier that it went down in a federal building of all places! Yeah someone's for sure gonna end up in cuffs over this. I'm kinda surprised the security or cops there didn't break it up sooner if it was wild enough for the guy to get messed up that bad.

I wouldn't be shocked if both of them end up catching charges even if one guy started it - assault is assault. But dude who went way overboard beating the guy senseless like that, he's definitely facing some serious stuff. Fighting on federal property? Yeesh, he's asking for major trouble there. Your coworker might be able to say he was just defending himself since it was so one-sided. Either way it's gotta be a huge headache for HR to deal with.

They'll probably have to review any security footage too if people were recording. Man I feel bad for you guys having to work with that kind of chaotic drama. Hopefully you all don't get roped into any investigations about it too since you helped break it up. Just a huge mess all around! Dude shoulda kept his cool for sure.

Woah the drama followed the wife to work too? That sucks man. A post office warehouse is a way bigger space than I pictured, I'm not surprised there wasn't any security right there. Having to call the cops yourself after a fight like that went down must've been crazy intense.

I can't imagine how awkward it must be now with the wife of the dude who did the beating working with you all too. Talk about an uncomfortable work environment! She's probably just as pissed at your coworker for talking smack, even if her guy took it way too far. I hope she doesn't try to start anything else.

This is definitely gonna be an ongoing messy situation now between everyone involved. Your poor coworker probably won't wanna come back even longer having to see both those people everyday. I hope your supervisors can figure out a way to separate them all so work doesn't keep getting disrupted. Fingers crossed there's no round 2 in the warehouse! Just an all-around crappy deal.

Ugh dude that's the worst, I feel really bad for your coworker now. It's bad enough he got his butt kicked, but now he's gotta deal with all these guys and girls making fun of him and laughing about it too? That's gutless.

I bet the girls making fun of him are the same ones who probably filmed it too. So much for loyalty, huh? It does kinda sound like high school drama for real. Sometimes people can be so immature even when they're grown. At least some folks feel bad for the guy - at least they have some decency.

I hope your coworker has some true friends at work who will support him and tell those other jokers to back off. It would suck to have to face all that ridiculing everyday just to do your job. Maybe he'll transfer departments if he can so he doesn't have to see their faces anymore. People really need to get over it already instead of piling on. Not cool at all.
