What is the best response to someone who is calling you ugly or left over woman?

well first of all, i'm not a woman and i'm not ugly. i'm not saying that cause i can't empathize whith the situation. i'm saying that to make the following point: you gotta be self aware. if you know who you are and what you are, these stupid insults can't hurt you.

i mean you're a 29 year old woman asking this. if you were an angsty teen, i'd say get to know yourself and see if that's actually true or not, so next time someone insults you like that, you know they're just trying to hurt you and aren't actually exposing things about you that are uncomfortable to you.

if someone says this to you, they know it is bad. they are trying to make you feel bad. they're trying to be mean. it's a wayste of time to point that out to them, cause they know what they're doing.

in my opninion, the best you can do is laugh and visibly notice her attemt to offend you without taking offense. cause that way you show them that their blows didn't hit you.

Age has to do a lot with maturity. Cause maturity depends on life experience and life experience comes with time spent alive of which you have more when you're 29 than if you're just 16. I'm not saying there are no factors that influence individual growth but i can still rightfully say that this is generally true for the vast majority of people.

Well it could have something to do with you. You could be ugly. You could be fat. You could have certain undesirable features. But if you already know that, then this is just like stating the obvious. Not like an unexpected hit to your ego.

I wasn't trying to be mean spirited by the way. I just stated that i normally would think someone that age would know how to deal with it. I didn't have any negative judgement. And still you went into defensive mode. I wasn't attacking. I'll believe you if you just wanted to see what people would say :D but that's sort of the thing i was talking about. Cause maybe you are just not that experienced with this despite your age right? What's wrong with that? Nothing. But i sense you got slightly offended cause you felt that i called you immature.

A more self aware way to handle this would be if you'd just be totally ok with not knowing. Because it's ok not to know things right? If you don't even identify something a person said as an attack, that's the best defense XD.

Even if something seems to be negative to you, it still doesn't mean you gotta understand it negatively.

Rip them to shreds girl. Find out what their biggest insecurity is and poke at it until they turn flush red with embarrassment. Kill em with kindness doesn't work on bullies.
