Why do guys often ask for Snapchat?

To me it tells me they aren’t serious so I barely use it.

It's easy to communicate especially if you have to send pictures or videos. Conversations are usually more honest and informal on there so you get to know eachother easier without as much of the conversational formalities that are expected in text.

And it's also a good app for feeling out a person's interest. You can send pictures through the day that start conversations or remind them you're thinking about them without flooding the texting app or it getting saved to the phone.

All that said, I barely use it anymore. Mostly for old friends I still have streaks with and woman who are fun.

I only ever do it just to show interest ig, I’m not rlly into being flirty and if I ask for snap, it signals to the girl I’m interested. Girls do the same too tbf
