Why do some guys on dating apps ask to call you shortly after you give them your Snapchat?

Maybe this is such a weird specific question and I’m just getting a weird specific pattern of guys but I don’t understand this. It’s happened I think at least 4 or 5 times now where I will talk to a guy for a few days on a dating app just to try to feel out whether or not they are obviously looking for sex. So if after a few days they seem genuinely interested and not just rushing into something sexual, I give them my Snapchat. And then within the first few messages they ask to call on the phone. Why do they do this? I’m not complaining, I love phone calls, but I don’t express that to them. It’s just a pattern I’ve been seeing that I’m trying to understand.
