Why do guys ask for snap and not your number?

Is this a red flag of a player? I am literally 24 and a guy who is 22 asked for my snapchat instead of my number the other day. Weird or not that deep? Girls? Red flag?

It doesn't have to be a redflag, no. A lot of people are more comfortable giving out social media than they are with giving out their phone number.
