Hugging a man gives me confidence. I feel very peaceful when I hug a man. Do men like to hug?

I'm totally open to hugs. And there are different kinds:
- Bro hugs with guys who are friends.
- Hugging women if they signal that they want to as a sign of friendship. Men and women often hug rather than shaking hands. Some of those hugs can be the brief, "lean in" kind where you just hug each other's shoulders. But some women are comfortable giving strong hugs. Neither kind is sexual, even if their boobs press against us.
- A girl at school or someplace, who sees you, smiles brightly and throws her arms open wide can be a sign of attraction. She likes you, wants to be friends, and is open to a closer relationship.
- Two people who are attracted to each other hugging. I'll give the example of one woman who, when I walked her to her door after our first date, turned, stepped forward, looked up at me, put her hands on top of my shoulders, and rose up on her tip toes. I put my hands on her waist. She pressed against me and we kissed tenderly on the lips.
That was definitely sign of sexual attraction and displayed comfort with physical contact.
- Hugs for people in relationships. Picture the classic scene where a girl and guy run towards each other. She throws herself into his arms and he lifts her and swings her around.
I like to be hugged from behind or hug her from behind when one of us is at the kitchen sink or someplace. Anytime her boobs are pressed tightly against me is nice.
I love hugging and kissing, especially when we are nude, as a prelude to foreplay or when cuddling after sex.

I’m with you, though hugging is a very tender sort of gesture, so for me it has to be from a man with whom I have a bond of trust for me to feel comforted or calm. I wouldn’t welcome random hugs like the one you’re talking about.

Some men do love hugs; some will deny they like them but lean into a hug anyway if they love the person or simply bc it feels good in the moment; some aren’t big on contact and avoid hugging.

I think everyone gets a dose of serotonin from a personal connection. Guys have a long history of being taught not to show emotion, thus we have the “guy hug”. One handed, shoulder bump, slap on the back.
