Did he lie when he said he has no hard feelings for me?

There’s this guy that I like and that I sent a confession text he didn’t reply to and then I met him last week and talked to him about it. He explained to me why he didn’t reply (bc of a contract that forbids him to interact with that bc i’m a potential customer (he works in the music industry)) and then he casually said “no hard feelings on my end”. After that he made sure that we’re good though and even had a conversation with me after the show. I gifted him a bracelet I specifically made for him with an inside joke and he was so happy about it and said that he loves it so much. He was also very positive that we will meet again. I’m confused because he said he doesn’t have any hard feelings but he’s giving mixed signals. He looked at me during the show, he even waved at me at the merch stand in front of everyone. He liked my comment on Instagram but he’s ignoring any messages. Before the talk he saw me and my friend outside, waved and came over but was ignoring me until I said something. Months ago when we had our first proper talk I invited him to a pub and he told me the bands already there and literally made sure I got the correct pub. He never showed up bc of work tho. When he spotted me in the crowd back then he also waved at me in front of everyone. But for our pictures he never put his arm properly around me. He only pressed it against my back but his hand was never touching my body. He added songs to his spotify that fit so well with our situation where it literally says tho that he feels the same (he doesn’t know i have his spotify tho im sure). He posted a song on his story last night titled “we can’t be friends” with the 🥲 emoji and the artist was born on the same day as me (just different years and he knows my bday). Everyone says they’re confused why he said he doesn’t feel the same when he’s acting like this… He also liked a story my friend tagged him in where I was on that was related to his work (before the talk)

Hmm that does sound really confusing! On one hand he says no hard feelings, but then there's definitely some mixed signals going on. A few thoughts:

- Guys can be kinda clueless sometimes with what they say vs what their actions show. He may have thought saying that would be polite but actually does still have some feelings.

- He could just enjoy the attention you give him and wants to keep you interested for his ego, without actually wanting a relationship. Some people are like that.

- It's possible his feelings are more conflicted than he realizes. Like genuinely having no hard feelings but still drawn to you in small ways he can't help.

- The contractual stuff may be a legit reason he can't fully engage, but doesn't stop lesser interactions.

I'd say trust your gut - it definitely seems like there's still something there on his end! Maybe try chatting him up again casually next time you see him. See if you can subtly get him to open up more about what he really thinks. Don't come on too strong though and scare him off. You've got nothing to lose by trying! Fingers crossed he finally makes a move. Keep me posted!

Thank you for this detailed reply! Unfortunately, I can only see him again at the end of the year when the artist he works for goes on tour again :( I’m a little scared any feelings he might have will have vanished by then..

Oh no girly, don't stress about that! Feelings don't usually just vanish in a few months. And I bet he'll still remember you fondly from your previous encounters too.

Here's what I'd do - keep yourself busy till then so you're not sitting around waiting and worrying. Spend time with your gal pals, pick up a new hobby, smash some dating apps if you're feelin frisky - basically live your best life!

That way by the time tour rolls around again, you'll be in an even better headspace. And who knows, keeping that air of mystery by not contacting him could totally peak his interest again. Guys love a challenge lol.

I also wouldn't be surprised if you randomly hear from him before then somehow. Maybe a like here, DM there - just to test the waters. He clearly thinks about you! So don't lose hope just yet, cutie.
