I’ve known for a while and I’m 12 weeks pregnant and still haven’t told him yet. I’m planning on telling him got my first ultrasound yesterday and everything with the baby is healthy. He already has five kids, and he made a quick clear that he doesn’t want anymore, but it happens and now I’m pregnant. How do I go about telling him?

Side note i was on birth control and didn’t mean to get pregnant but im sure he's bout going to believe because i wanted to have kids eventually

I'd just call him up and tell him, it's his issue how he deals with it. If the dude has 5 kids and says he doesn't want more... but hasn't gotten himself fixed, then he's just not that bright is he? Like... that's a reproductive activity...

I'm a little bit surprised to hear you say that you would rather parent on your own, but in any case; I think this is the kind of thing that you should just tell him directly.

"Hey, just so you know, I was one birth control and I was taking it consistently, but a fluke happened and I'm pregnant with your child." And then I guess go about explaining where your head is at with all of this stuff.

Mhm you "independent" women sure love to tell everyone just how "independent" you are. Right up until you are crying in a YouTube video cause you are a single mom. You want useful? Get with the guy because a child needs both mother and father and if 1 parent is to be missing it should be the mother because statistics show that a child raided by a single father has the same life odds as a child raised by both parents. But a child raised by a single mom has a higher chance of unhealthy abusive relationships, cheating, teenage pregnancy, stds/stis, drug and alcohol abuse, prostitution, jail time. Think that's all

I guess congratulations on your baby, but there is a reason why - many reasons why - generations past had the couple get married and THEN have kids (or, if they got knocked up, they got married before the kid was born).
