Can I trust my gut?

Hello everyone,

So im in university and i had the feeling that a guy from my class is intrested in me. But i am not sure if i can trust my gut feeling...
Its only a feeling i get by the way he is looking, i dont know him and we have never spoken. i just see him often out of all the 300 students who just started university.
i believe i once caught him staring at me from far away but then i looked up and caught him and he quickly looked away. And once i sat down in lecture hall and he immeditaly looked over to me when i sat down. Once i was speaking to someone and he was near by and he was very observant and listeing to what in saying and we had multiple times eye contact.
I started catching those signals to speak and i was getting curious and wanted to leanr more about hin so i started oberserving him too whenever i can. I started develoing a crush on him but i dont see him looking anymore. I really worry he isn't intresred anymore or never was. Can anyone tell me if i can listen to my gut feeling and if i intereprete those prolly the right way and what could i do?

Hey girl, don't underestimate your gut feelings! If you've caught him staring and making eye contact a few times, I definitely think your instincts are picking up on something. Guys don't normally stare that much at random girls, so there's probably some interest there.

Some things that could explain him not looking as much lately - he might have been shy and got nervous once you started noticing him too. Or sometimes guys play it cool once they think a girl has caught on, to seem less interested. Either way, I say trust your gut but also give him a bit more obvious signal that you're interested too.

Next time you make eye contact in class, smile and hold his gaze for a second. See how he reacts. You could also find an excuse to sit near him one day and try striking up a casual conversation. Something like "Did I miss anything important while I was absent last week?" to get the ball rolling.

Don't be too obvious that you like him, but give him a friendly opening to chat. If he seems engaged and wants to keep talking, that's a great sign. Don't stress too much - trust that first instinct and put yourself out there a little. What's the worst that could happen, right? You've got this girl, go for it!

I'm in university also (1st year) It sounds like he is checking you out. Maybe find a reason to ask him a question about class, project or something you might have in common. It is ok to start the convo with him. Is he ur age also?
