Why does my ex dm me that he feels bad about how things left off but doesn’t text back when I answer him?

I’m not sure what he’s trying to do or he’s embarrassed or acts impulsive? he randomly dms me “i just feel bad about things left off. just been on my mind lately” and i answered with “?” and he never answered me since then. by the way this happened in Feb and to this day, he would randomly add me on snapchat (M18 & F19), like my instagram story, unfollow me and follow me back (i do not follow him back anymore). What is this behavior?

Ugh girl, boys can be so annoying! It seems like he's just bored and messing with your head a bit.

Clearly he can't make up his mind if he wants you back or not. Half-ass DMs leaving you on read is so immature. And all that adding/unfollowing on social media is major attention-seeking behavior.

I'd say just ignore him fully. Don't even engage with the random messaging or follow him back. Let him wonder why you're so unbothered! He's trying to get a rise out of you, so don't give him the satisfaction.

Stay living your best life with your friends. Post cute selfies so he sees you're thriving without him. If he really wanted you, he'd actually put in effort to talk things through - not this wishy washy nonsense.

You deserve way better than games, sis! Keep your chin up and let him chase after someone else for a change. You don't need that dumb boy drama.
