Why does my ex barely communicate but gets mad if I dont?

He checks in every day with "morning" and "u ok" texts. If I don't reply within minutes he's asking what I'm doing, who am I with and presuming I'm with a guy. BUT when I do text with him I feel like I'm making so much effort. Talking about my day and stuff. And he just responds with lol and yh and haha. It's such a one sided convo. I can poor my heart out one minute and just get a lol. Or a "OK kl". But when I reply short like if he say "u ok" and ill say "fine. U?" He is like wtf? Fine? Wow. And if I say why we still talking or say there's not much point us talking he says why?

I just told him hey let's check in once a week unless we got something interesting to sat. And now he is like wtf, why u being like this?

Why does he hardly respond yet cares so much if I don't! Urgh!

For context. We went out 3 months and been broken up about 11 days.

hey, my view is stop all communication its not worth your time and brain power... if you quit after only 3 months especially... a great bit of advice i only recently saw on a video, happened to be what i did with my last ltr, stop talking, start listening, and even if there are not words listen to the actions... he has zero right into your life and making his presence constant to you is actually a bit narcissistic in my opinion.. xx

I don't understand why he wants to stay in touch with you if you are not longer together. In my opinion it is always best to make a clean break and move on.

Same. I've cried and now I wanna move on. He told me when he breaks up with people he blocks them. So I don't get it either. I've hinted at talking about things and maybe getting back together but he shows as much enthusiasm as a piece of floating wood. So I don't get it. But I haven't heart to block him either and I am kinda lonely right now without him.

Nooo. My mum was a total bitch so I've cut her off too. And I haven't told my friends cos I feel they are going to be so judgey. They didn't think it wd last from day one. I've online told my FBs and online friends. Who are all guys actually. I really need some better female friends! *sigh*

Haha yes he was very insecure/jealous/possessive when together. And I did get frustrated that we didn't seem to have the same level of communication skills.

Cos I've made suggestions about hooking up, spending a night, seeing eachother. And unless I directly say let's meet for a cuddle he is not exactly jumping to make effort to try see me! I'm so frustrated! And my feelings are slowly withdrawing the more I don't see him.

I like dominating haha. He went to choke me in an argument really tightly just before we broke up and I couldn't help laughing and getting turned on 🙈 but yh I've moved on.

That wasn't intercourse. We were fighting cos I was yet again feeling unappreciated and unheard by him to point I really wanted to go clubbing and let off steam. He accused me of going to get attention from other men. As I was in a fiesty mood I said yh so, maybe I would seeing as not getting it from him. He pushed me so I fell over the end of bed to the floor. After that I went in another room and drank and blasted my music and danced without him. Then went joined my daughters upstairs and was having a great time. He was mad! He had been texting me to come out the room but I want looking at my phone. So he ended up shouting my name through the door. I can't remember what happened next or if I said something. But he jumped on me in the bed and grabbed my throat really tight and I couldn't breathe. But adrenaline actually made me laugh and get a thrill from it. He on other hand had sat on edge of bed and was shaking. Maybe realising how far he had gone. I actually put my arms around him and tried to soothe him. I actually liked seeing his vulnerable side. It's pretty fucked up eh?

Well he did once beat a man who had threatened him to point of needing to be resuscitated on way to hospital... and done other bad stuff.
Pushing his buttons was probably really stupid. But I am a fire sign. I don't back down and I give as good as I get. Took him like a week to forgive me for hitting him with a plate after he held me down tickling me to point of making me angry before!
