I think if it was a very long relationship it’s hard for both the guy and the girl to part ways. If it was a shorter association it’s probably easier to part ways or even just be friends.

When I got broken up to I was very sad for a month and tried to cope by thinking she eventually will come back. When I fully realized she won't, it hit me a second time a few months later.

Probably will have a good time of his life now. Finally coming to a closure and beeing the one to leave comes with a high. Maybe in 2-3 months will miss the relationship but if its you or the intimacy he's gonna miss I don't know.
