I talk a lot! And I'm very open so I will talk about loads of things. I will stop and ask questions. But in general I find I'm probably talking 70% to the guys 30% of the time. Is that pretty normal tho? Or too much!
+1 yI actually rely on women talking their ass off. See... women have to ask questions and poke and prod for answers, and then they cross reference your answers for my bullshit not being consistent. That's the very basic B stuff a guy like me has to sit through. But it's not a total L... I take the W because I sit and actually listen. I don't have to ask interrogation-like questions because... she's sitting there telling on herself and everyone else while she's on it.
Like no bullshit... I'm like the crippled kid on South Park that just sits there and says "That's very interesting, please tell me more."
So is it normal? I'd say that's what I normally get out of chicks. A chick that's basically just on her phone forcing me to do all the talking is the red flag for me. I know that little meeting is fucked when she won't even look at me and she says "Uh huh" as her conversation input.
So yeah... I do get annoyed with the usual interrogation questions and the part where they're just trying to figure out where I'm at financially and you can see their little brains trying to figure out how they can get cash out of you, but I rely on women telling me all the things I need to know (bad) about her. Oh and she will tell you too. I shit you not they'll tell you about cheating in their past right off from the start. Gee... I wonder what she plans on doing?
You do you... Talk your ass off.36 Reply- +1 y
@Inbox Oh yeah, they'll tell you and even expose how evil they were in doing it. A lot of these chicks think it's like "cool" points or something.
Meanwhile... I still exist and I'm listening to it like..."Bitch, really?" Great way to get blackpilled about a thing before it even starts. - +1 y
You referring to us as ‘chicks’ says a lot
- +1 y
@curiousmandy Yeah, lets just ignore the real bullshit out there because I use the terms 'chicks' and 'dudes' to describe genders. Let us drop everything and hang me on the shame tree for not using your preferred pronouns.
@Inbox See... they'll tell you who they are right from the start because they actually think it gives them "cool" points... as I was saying before. Did I say "they'll"? OMG, no, I meant "chicks." 😂🤣 I guess I could call it "virtue signal" points. 🤔
See here's another truth... if you describe a particular type of chick, one of those very chicks will come out of the woodwork on the attack because you're exposing their ass. Big mad and they don't know why.
But we know why they big mad 😉 - +1 y
@Inbox I would describe it more as they "slip up" or accidentally tell on themselves. Particularly when they start rambling about themselves, and their past. You still got to be smart enough to listen to what they're telling you about themselves and figure it out... that's who she is.
Of course, they don't just bluntly tell you they have an established habit of cheating on every guy they're with. But they did just tell you that's what they've done, and add that to their lack of remorse... a true premise + a true premise = a true conclusion. It's like I don't know for certain what she's going to be like, but I'm making an educated guess.
... and unfortunately, it's an educated guess that usually gets proven correct with a long enough timeline. Like the schooled say... best predictor of the future, is the past.

+1 yi mean as long as i don't feel like i'm being talked over and ignored, that's fine. and if you think you're talking 70% of the time, you're factually probably doing 50%, cause all people tend to overestimate their individual ammount of talking by quite a bit.

I'd be a bit weirded out if she wasn't nervous at all on a first date
+1 ySome people talk more, some people talk less. Not every conversation has to be fifty-fifty.
Did you ever see a really old movie called Pulp Fiction? A character in that movie asks another character, Do you listen or do you wait to talk? Like everyone does both, but when you're not talking, what are you doing more?
When the guy is talking, if you're actually listening to what he says, I think it's fine if you talk more than he does. But if you're just waiting for him to shut up so you can talk talk talk as much as possible, that's something you need to work on.

I also listen and talk a lot but like when someone else is talking I listen to what their saying because everything I hear others say fascinates me because others see the world differently so when they talk about things they learned, saw, heard, tasted or read I'm just enjoying it because it's like experiencing the world from someone else's perspective and it's fascinating to me mostly because I love learning because there's so much to learn, see, taste, and explore in this world and not enough time.

+1 yYes. But mostly it’s the ratio of words to meaningful information that is the problem. Most women talk a lot but actually say very little. Talking just to make noise bothers me. However, communication is extremely important. Male or female doesn’t matter. If you’re not a good communicator, i have no use for you.

+1 yI think that is pretty normal, girls typically do more of the talking in a relationship and definitely more when they are a little nervous meeting for the first time.

+1 yI need an answer to this question to because I'm the same way. Some guys seem like they don't mind, others seem bored, then the other half seems like their a little upset cuz they wanna talk to and the rest seem unphased.

ill chat any time
If you cut people off mid sentence - it's an annoying turn off. If you have adhd and a million thoughts rambling - it's it's turn off. Unless the person is also interested on your hyperfixation - it's more annoying than anything.

+1 yI tend to get overwhelmed if someone talks a lot, or really if they are a fast talker. I prefer a slower paced conversational style but that’s just my anxiety that takes over
12 Reply- +1 y
I mean I agree slow paced conversations are nice, I just tend to talk fast cuz my brain thinks faster than my mouth and I need to get it all out before I forget also if I speak to slow I forget the whole conversation before it begins because it's just how my bran and mouth work I guess I mean don't talk to fast but not to slow either I guess.

+1 yNot a problem, but depends on the stuff you talk about
10 Reply Not really I would be interested to hearing what she has to say.
10 ReplyAre you interrupting them to speak?
Are you not listening to them and just keep talking?
If the answer to both questions is, "No." You are good to go.

+1 yHave you been rejected for talking too much? If not, you’re probably fine. Personally I prefer when a person knows when to stay quiet and when is their time to speak. I consider talking too much bad manners but that’s just me.
00 Reply14.3K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Most girls like to talk so much that you can barely eat because we’re so busy talking lol I’ve experienced this with friends and I experienced this with my neighbor taking me to the doctors office or the hospital

Haha yes. I realised I was talking a lot when I was at the pub with a guy I was meeting and he commented I hadn't even touched my drink after like 45 minutes. But then after I had spoken a lot I did start asking him about himself and was pleased to see I finished my 2nd drink before him lol. Eating would be even worse haha. Or better? Maybe it makes you take turns talking (between mouthfuls) lol.

Nerves definitely have a big part! And there's a lot to cover in terms of past history and current circumstances. But I don't talk non stop etc in a relationship. I'm happy to cuddle and watch a movie or both be playing on our phones etc in comfortable silence. But I will like to come home and talk about my day you know. Or talk about what we watching on TV. I think that's pretty normal stuff.
+1 yNo you are getting to know the guy and asking questions

+1 yThat's not too much talking, that's WAAAYYY too much talking! If you're having a one-hour conversation with someone you just met, that means you're talking for 42 minutes of that hour! I'd be rather put off by that.
00 Reply 33.3K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I don't mind talkative women as I am fairly talkative myself. But if it's at the expense of her being a good listener then that's a problem.

If talking a lot can be hushed down to whispering a lot, it should be fine.00 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Well… I’d the guy is brave enough to deal with it, give him a chance. 😂

Absolutely, not much i couldn't be told to scare me away, the more personal it is the more interesting the person.
I don’t think it’s a turn off, but as I don’t talk as much, probably she’ll not be comfortable with someone who talks less than her (could misinterpret as not being interested)
12 Reply- +1 y
Haha I think generally it's accepted the male partner talks less. And that's fine so long as body language makes up for it instead of dismissive behaviour. If I come home, had a long grumble about "the bitches" at work you could listen then say "awww, come here" and open your arms to give me a cuddle. That would be good enough. Likewise if I was sad and weepy then laying with your arms around me and stroking me with your hand would show understanding. Men don't need to talk. Just show they care!
- +1 y
I don't hink I'd misinterpret but it would be a bit weird but as long as I know your enjoying the conversation like you may laugh at some parts snort at others raise an eyebrown at the rest or even make certain faces because of how certain parts make you feel I'd feel just fine if you don't talk a lot.

12 Reply- +1 y
Well yeah your not to far off girls who talk a lot and actually start conversations or engage in them are almost non existent but there are Stull some out there don't give up hope to much. I talk a lot but not so much anymore because it's hard to find someone who actually listens, likes what I'm talking about or even understands what I'm talking about so even as a person who loves to talk and has a lot to talk about until I find a guy who will listen take an interest and actually understand me I keep to short replies or none.
+1 yTurn-off if what she is talking about is vapid non-sense.

If its a first meet its a lot about myself 🙈. My experiences, thoughts, goals, funny things that happened to me, quirky things about me? Might go off into general views on a topic. Like say we talking about bdsm, could be saying what I've tried or would like and then talk about is it even helpful to label preferences? What does dom mean to them? Is there a difference between masculinity and dominance... etc
