Guys. Does initiating conversation with a girl truly indicate your interest level?

So for a girl who is your girlfriend or you want to be your girlfriend, would you initiate the conversation a lot? Saying good morning and saying hey if it's been a few hours or days?

If its a girl your sexually interested in or casual with... does this change? Will you only really initiate when thinking of sex or hooking up? Or will you initiate fairly regular to "keep in touch" so it's recieved better than just reaching out of nowhere for sex or sex talk?

What about a female friend? Will you expect it more 50/50? And not frequent? Or you don't really talk to female friends unless they initiate to ask you something?

Well, some people are friendlier than others. But yeah, you don’t often bother initiating with someone you don’t like if you don’t have to.

Yh. I'm good at initiating. But I'm starting to get fed up being so one sided! I'm not sure anymore if they like me saying hey and how are u today anymore.

One sided is bad, whether it is a romantic relationship, or a friendship. It should be somewhere between 60/40 to 50/50, but it shouldn't be heavily one sided.

That is one of several potential reasons for initiating conversation.
Generally speaking though, when anyone of any gender initiates conversation with someone else, they want something out of it. What that something is varies massively. You might believe a guy is talking to you because he is sexually interested in you, but it could just as easily be because he wants to check if you know something he doesn't, or just to control the flow of interaction.

@Crimsyjo lol - genuinely I'll make some interest with women I'm into with eye contact to a degree to openly smiley slightly more than average yet still subtle enough not to be labelled off-putting or sly - and that's only if the woman even smiles back or openly flirts back - if there's nothing but blank expressions, frowns or downplaying, then I'll be like whatever and forget and assume she's taken or just assume is best.
