I am often attending Lindy Hop dance sessions and throughout the years I have met a guy there who often looks at me. We can be standing there, looking at each other and thats it. We dance and talk and we both take initiatives. But I am mostly the one getting him to talk. To me, he seems shy. When

Dancing is one of the quickest ways to test "chemistry" between a guy and a girl. Personally, I've always been a big fan, even if I'm not the most graceful person on the dance floor if there are steps I don't know.

Next time you're together, see if he's actually shy or if he just has nothing to say. Watch the expression on his face, signs of hesitation, etc. Even if he doesn't "like you" that way, it seems like you have a great dance partner at the very least.
