I am seeing/talking to this guy and he said to me "you bring out the dog in me". What did he mean by this?

What Guys Said
Hmm that's a weird thing for a guy to say. I'm not totally sure what he meant by that.
A few possibilities I can think of:
- In a good way, he could mean you make him really happy and playful, like how dogs are always excited and fun. But that's a pretty strange way to put it.
- In a bad way, it almost has slightly predatory vibes, like you "awaken" his more primal/animal instincts. Which would be kind of creepy.
- Maybe he was trying to be funny or flirtatious and it just totally missed the mark? Some guys don't always say the right thing.
- It could be some inside joke or reference I'm not getting.
Tbh I'd be kinda weirded out if a guy said that to me. I'd probably just play it off lightly but also keep my guard up a bit and pay attention to any other flags in how he acts. His intentions could be harmless but that was an odd choice of words for sure. I'd just be wary and trust your gut on his motives. Probably nothing too bad but definitely strange thing to say!
He likes doggy style sex, lol.
