This guy that I have been dating wants to take a break because he lost his job recently should I be offended?

like he is a provider but i really just wanted to be there for him but he doesn't allow me to.. he wants a break to get his life back together to come back to take care of me and said he didn't want to bring me down or bring negativity in his life we will still talk everyday but he said he just wants to get it together.. i understand because when he met me i needed months apart to get myself together but now im on other side im ngl my womanly emotions can't handle it lol

Nah... a guy losing a job -- esp a GOOD job -- is a very big deal. There's a crash to his ego, doubt settles in and suddenly he's not sure he's good at anything. Give him some space. He's def not going to be able to take you out if he's not earning AND has to go job hunting...

You can text him perhaps once every three days or so -- ONE TEXT, not a million, just to check in on him and make sure he's ok. Don't spam his phone and media, which is only going to add to his new pile of stress, ok?

He's trying to show you he's taking responsibility for his problems, but by shutting you out, the dufus is actually risking losing you..
If he's into sports, give him this analogy. Two teams of 11 players.. who wins.. the team of 11 good players, or the team of 11 players that play as a team and to their strengths?
He should get it right, and then finally realise he is not being very sensible !

@spartan55 Tbh, I don't think that was it... She just needed to see it from his side, which isn't the easiest thing to do when a "provider" type guy shuts down and won't let others pitch in or even listen to what's bugging him. (I think they'll be ok. They're already talking things out.)
