Men are valued on the income they earn while women are valued on their beauty.
As stated by @Hispanic-Cool-Guy both men and women deteriorate as the age. However, generally men in the low to mid 30s will have more wealth and higher incomes than men in their low to mid 20s. Moreover, women are attracted to men with money and most women look at the present and not long-term. Therefore, if you take a snapshot, a man with a high income may be more appealing to most women than a low income man that is ten years younger.
Regardless, I and some other young women are attracted to money; I/we take the long-term view. I know the college students with potential high incomes do not presently much money. However, for the first several years, we will not need much money but, by the time we have children and a house, he will have the income required to support a middle to upper-middle class lifestyle.
Motive is very important. A woman that's looking at a man's pockets isn't interested in that man as a person but only look to benefit financially from him.
She doesn't give a flip about that man and under such case stupid will be the man to get with a woman that is using him to live off him knowing that woman don't give a damn about him.
I kid you not literally just last night I was watching a true crime story this chick married a very rich man only to cheat on him with some other dude and hire one of his buddy to try murder him.
@Kelley1 All women are attracted to money, and most women can't go backwards once they get a taste of a certain lifestyle, the issue is women don't really understand what it takes to keep a successful guy partly because society lies to them. Also the belief that men and woman age at the same rate I completely false why do you think the world's sexiest man is routinely a man in his 40's or sometimes 50's while the worlds sexiest woman is always a woman in her 20's when voted on annually?
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Just because we value money doesn't imply that is the only thing we value. I value a man's money, his looks, his age, his intelligence, and how he treats me. In effect, they are all equally important.
Everybody values women so it isn't exclusive to women because we all need money to live.
As I said motive matters a lot.
As long a man works and can carry his own weight should be good enough as the immense majority of men in the U. S especially the world aren't nowhere near middle class income.

The Dataclysm charts shows that women from ages 25 to 50 view men near their own the most attractive. Therefore the average age for all women, the men are considered the most attractive is the mid 30s. Therefore, while men in their 40s view men in their 40s the most attractive, women in their 20s view men in their 20s the most attractive.
While it is true that People magazine sexiest man have been men in their 40s and 50s, I would take that with a grain salt. It appears to be nothing more than which actor is the most well known. That is, they are selected from actors that star in the most movies. Take away the factors of being well known such as actors and take away money, very few young women in their teens and 20s would consider men age 30 and above as sexier than men near their age. Personally, I believe men ages 18 to 22 are the sexiest and I do not date men outside those ages.
@Kelley1 Apologies for butting in, but yes that is a very good point, money is only one component, in reality woman value a bunch of different things in men which is why the men that are able to check those boxes are considered HV
@Kelley1 Lol, actually that data would mean that men universally find women I'm their early 20's aa attractive while women's attraction to men correlates to their age, which makes sense. I would like to point out the hypocrisy though that when a national platform provides a standard that doesn't align w/ your belief it should be taken with a "grain of salt" but when something aligns with your belief it's a fact? Also you're kinda proving my point thst a man's attractiveness is valued on a myriad of things, because if what u say is true it would stand to reason that some female in her 40's at some point would be considered the sexiest woman alive. Also you're 18 yro, so your limited life experience isn't reflective of the world in general, I've been w/ countless women 10-15 years younger, so by your logic my experience should supercede your inexprience right? In addition like most females you're making a false comparison, it's not how many younger women like older men, it's how many younger women like older men vs how many younger women like older women. Plenty of 20 something women date 40,50+ year old women, it's very rare to see a 20 yro man dating a 40, 50+ yro which only proves the original point.
@Vegasrunner You have not disputed the fact the People Magazine's most sexy men are movie stars or possible other very famous people. That is, the one in a million. Exceptions don't make the rule, let alone such rare exceptions. Therefore, since they will never even meet People Magazine's choices, they have no practical relevance to 99.99% of women. As such, People Magazine's choices should be taken with a grain of salt.
Both statements are facts. My statement has relevance because it involves the general population. You statement has practical relevance to less than 1 in 100,000.
@Kelley1 Why would I dispute a fact that proves my point? By definition it's one in billions, and it proves that a man's value isn't bases on looks the way a females is. In addition your overall logic is either flawed or your not competent enough to understand the conversation. If what you are saying is accurate, why are no women of that age selected as the sexiest woman? Your statement actually is anecdotal, as it focuses on your limited preference.
No one gains value with aging as aging causes deterioration in all aspects of life.

Those young women are there to fleece that old man out of his money and a certain lifestyle of her fancy and in exchange the old dude gets beauty and sex.
@Hispanic-Cool-Guy Ita unfortunate that that's your exprience but as several people in society have shown, getting younger woman is not that difficult men because men don't reach their prime until later in life. Woman struggle as they get older because they peak earlier in life.
Keep telling yourself that lie to feel better that young pretty women desire old dudes for love and for who they are instead of how they can benefit from their pockets.

What I haven't seen is younger men choosing older woman. Also what kind of loser man, looks for love from women? That's a female trait.
