[Stupid Question] What does it mean if a guy says you're "cool"?

Met this guy a few weeks back. We've been hanging out, calling and texting each other pretty often. He called me "cool" once over the phone and then the very next day said I was "cool" over text. Is this a prelude to something romantic or is he just being friendly?

Usually a guy being romantic is not going to refer to you as just “cool” lol I’d laugh at my boyfriend if he told me “you know, you are just a cool person”
