Was I creepy/weird?

A guy at work and I have been getting along great for months now. We flirt with each other, laugh, he stops by to chat frequently, we make up reasons why we "need" to work together, etc. It's to the point that other people have started to notice. I thought it would be OK to add him on facebook, but after several days he didn't accept, so I canceled my request. Now he seems to be awkward/distant. I tried asking if anything was wrong, but he said no. Did I make a big mistake?

I am you and you is me 😂 Im in quite a similar situation except this girl straight up went to the extreme and left the workplace. She took a piece of my heart. I've reached out to her on FB and IG just in case she’s not the most active on them and no response after about almost a week now.


Perhaps the guy you friend requested hasn’t been active on his socials even if he has a profile. I have my FB app downloaded but dont check it that much and even have notifications off so would not know what’s new


If a girl sent me a request on FB I wouldn't find it creepy if she knew my name already or seen me in the mutual friends/people you may know list. Ofc it’s a good idea if a girl would let me know about this request that we would be connected on there (even if I didn't like her like that, as a guy Im always open to new friends and most of us are chill like that unless we already have a lady then there’s grey area based on what the intentions of the request was for)

Potentially the Facebook thing was too much of an invasion into his personal space , at too earlier point in time , I wouldn't call it " Creepy " but obviously he had his reasons , just slow it all down a bit.

No nothing weird or creepy with sending him a request. I think if he doesn't want you on his social media must be for another reason, he may be talking to someone or something along those lines. I'm not trying to be negative, just stating a possibility.

If he keeps acting distant I'd say just move on.

You might have been misreading him or you might have just tried to take things further than he intended. It's not necessarily a big deal, just back off and let him be.

Probably doesn't want to take things further. You didn't do anything wrong, but he might have misread your intentions. might have thought you want to be more than friends and he might not be into workplace relationships. Just let it go and talk to him normally if he wants to talk but dont bring it up
