Why would a guy hide his child from a woman he’s dating?

So I been messing with this guy for about a year. He already has two kids. Now he finally tells me he has a third child. I'm so shocked, because I don't see any pictures of her at all. All I see is his two sons.

We are not actually a couple. We act like it. He tells me he loves me and I tell him I love him. That's about it. We talked all the time and I met his two boys. He just never mentioned another child.
