I would say a companion someone to share life and especially someone he can rest with and be goofy and have fun without being afraid of having to walk on eggshells where he has to be careful on what to say and when. A partner that helps him see the bigger picture and helps him to create something that has meaning to both.

I would say that´s what many guys want in principle supposing he has no mental problems, is not regularly watching porn and comes from a healthy environment. It often doesn´t seem like that because guys are not ready to settle down but want sex or they struggle with emotional and mental problems but can´t open about it...
There are reasons why a guy might look for something else. But I would say that I´m not the only guy that looks for such a companion.

Their reason is that they want a family. They want to invest in a person and build a good family together because without people, what's the point of education and money?
