Once apon a time, I would say love me for loving you. But I'm divorced now and not really sure how else to answer. I know I'm a man, but what really made me feel extra special like a man was when I knew that I was doing all I could to provide as much as I could and I felt like my ex wife and kids loved me for it. Not causes I could buy them everything cause I couldn't. I'm just a blue collar guy but when I came home and my kids came running yelling daddy daddy all happy I was at home and my ex wife was smiling and there to talk to... they made me feeleven more of a man because they loved me for doing the best I could for them. That won't make sense to some. But I'm old school. That was just... how I sees it. I could worked a 60 hour week but to see how happy they were on the weekend when we all went out and I had a enough money left after we paid the bills I could tell the kids go pick out a toy and tell my wife, honey if you still want them shoes let's go get'em... I mean it was all worth it seeing them happy. That's when I most felt like a real man

I can't think of a single word for that, but I would say making him feel respected and valued. Men show their love by doing things for their woman. Allow him opportunities to help you and do things for you, and let him know you appreciate it when he does.

It seems today's women are so set on being "strong and independent" and proving they can do everything themselves that they deprive their partners of opportunities to show their love. A good man who feels useless will never be happy and won't stick round for long.
