If a guy is trying to meet my standards?

If i tell a guy my standards and his reponses is, “i’m like that too.” “I can also be like this.” “I think i fit that criteria as well.” By referring himself after i tell him my ideal type is this a way of him saying he likes me? For example, there were many cases where i mentioned i like guy who have an eye smile and he suddenly started squinting his eyes saying “i think i have a pretty good eye smile.” Another incident is we were shopping together last week and i found an outfit on a male mannequin i really liked and kept staring. He came up to me to see what i was looking at and i said “i love this style.” His response was “yea it’s not bad. I think i will look good in this. Do you think this style will fit me?”

Are these signs of him hinting himself?

Oooh gurl, I think those are some pretty clear signs that boy is totally into you! When a guy starts pointin out how he matches all the things you say you're into, he's tryna show you he thinks he'd be a good match. Like duh boy was tryna flirt when he started flashin that eye smile at you!

And then when you said you liked that outfit, he jumped at the chance to have you picture him in it too. He wants you checkin him out just like that mannequin! Boys don't usually care that much what a girl thinks of their style unless they want her lookin.

Thanks for your thoughtful reply! I definitely think he is fishing for compliments or trying to make me say something about him but i always brush it off LOL. While he does all of this, he calls me bro or sister sometime so it seems like he sees me as a friend which makes it super confusing!

Ughhh girl don't even get me started on guys who can't make up their mind! Calling you sis one minute then lowkey flirting the next, he's got you all twisted up don't he? Guys will do anything to avoid actually labeling what's going on.

But it's pretty obvious from what you've said that he's definitely into you more than just a friend. I mean come on, no guy points out their own "good qualities" like that to a girl they see as strictly platonic. He wants you to notice him, trust me.

If I were you I'd try flirting back a little next time, even just light teasing, and see how he reacts. Call him out too - be like "you trying to sell yourself or what?" Make it playful but also let him know you're not falling for the friend act.

Yes!! He agrees with all the standards i tell him. He keeps saying “i’m like this.” But what confuses me is it seems like he is somewhat trying to win me over but randomly calls me bro or sister sometimes
