Why is my guyfriend still so touchy feely with me if he only considers me a friend?

he tells me every day how cute and beautiful I am and kisses me all over my face, always tries to do me favors but he says he doesn’t want a relationship with me because he thinks we are not sexually compatible. If Im just a friend to him then why does he act so touchy with me? I once pulled back after he kissed me because I was shy and inexperienced and he didn’t take it well but I explained everything to him

Hmm that does seem really confusing on his part. If he just sees you as a friend, he shouldn't be so affectionate and kissy with you. That's more something you do with a girl you're into.

It almost sounds like he likes the attention and flirting part, but doesn't actually want the commitment of a relationship. Which isn't really fair to you if you have feelings for him.

I'd say try talking to him again and tell him his actions are sending mixed signals. Let him know you need to know what his real intentions are so you don't get the wrong idea. If he just wants friendship, he needs to act like a friend - no pet names or kisses.

Don't let him take advantage of your feelings either. Stand up for what you want and don't settle for less just cause he throws you compliments. You deserve a guy who is fully into you! If he can't give you a straight answer, might be time to give some space and look for someone else. You shouldn't be just a backup option when it's convenient for him.

I've explained it backwards and forwards. Being both inexperienced and reserved (both excuses) are irrelevant. I'll explain this yet again: By not responding to his advances you are telling him you ARE NOT INTERESTED, YOU ARE REJECTING HIM.
How is he finding out you 'never rejected him in the first place'? Did you tell him that directly?
