I'm gonna make this post as short as possible. I used to be involved in a friends with benefits situation with this guy. Don't judge me. I learned my lesson lol. But, he recently got mad at me and grabbed me by my shirt and pushed me. All I did was tell him to drive me back to where I was because I didn't wanna stay with him anymore. He told me no and tried to leave me stranded so I followed behind him and told me to take me home. I didn't hit him or anything. Was I wrong? was I being annoying? Wasn't that a sign of abuse? I definitely left him alone after that.

Nah girl, do not blame yourself at all for how he reacted. That dude way crossed a line by putting his hands on you like that. Even if you were bugging him to give you a ride, that is NEVER an excuse for getting violent or abusive. You had every right to want to leave when you wanted to and not be stranded.
The fact that he tried to drive off and leave you shows he was just being a controlling jerk. Grabbing you and pushing you is straight up assault. You did the right thing by cutting him off completely after - that's a major red flag and it could easily escalate next time. Please don't second guess yourself, you did nothing to deserve that.
Any real man would handle a disagreement with respect, not abuse. You deserve way better treatment. I'd say report him if you feel comfortable, just to have it on record in case he does something like that again. But either way, stay far away and don't look back - you dodged a bullet by dumping that loser! Keep your head high girl, his actions say it all about him, not you.
he just flipped out for no reason?
It doesn't matter. He should've just walked away
